Penyebab Kematian Presley Gerber
Presley Gerber meninggal dunia di sebuah fasilitas rehabilitasi yang tidak disebutkan namanya. Dilansir Page Six, penyebabnya diduga akibat overdosis pada 20 September namun alasan pastinya hingga kini belum dikonfirmasi.
Beberapa tahun sebelum kepergiannya, Presley sempat bicara mengenai perjuangan melawan kecanduan dan masalah kesehatan mental. Dalam podcast Studio 22 pada 2023, Presley mengungkapkan bahwa ia bergelut dengan depresi dan beberapa hal lain yang disebut menyertai kondisi tersebut.
Terungkap bahwa selama bertahun-tahun, Presley menghabiskan banyak waktu untuk menjalani terapi demi lebih mengerti dirinya sendiri. "Ini merupakan bagian yang sangat besar dalam hidupku. Ini adalah pekerjaan yang berlangsung 24 jam sehari, 7 hari seminggu, dan mencakup banyak sekali aspek," ujarnya.
Dilansir The List, pada 2024 Presley mengungkap melalui Instagram Stories bahwa dirinya sedang berjuang menghadapi kecanduan opioid yang sangat parah. Kemudian bulan Maret lalu, Presley sempat menulis bahwa ia mulai menemukan kembali jati dirinya.
"Kita lihat saja nanti. Berdoa semoga ini menjadi kali terakhir aku harus kembali (menjalani perawatan). Lain kali, aku ingin bisa memilih sendiri." tulis Presley yang berharap dirinya bisa sembuh.
