Liputan6.com, Jakarta - Pemerintah menargetkan kecepatan internet mencapai 100 Mbps pada 2029. Target ini akan diimbangi dengan pemerataan jangkauan layanan di seluruh Indonesia.

Menteri Komunikasi dan Digital RI Meutya Hafid mengatakan, rata-rata kecepatan internet seluler di Indonesia saat ini mencapai 84 Mbps, sedangkan jaringan tetap (fixed broadband) rata-rata mencapai 67 Mbps. Pada 2029, kecepatan jaringan tetap ditargetkan mencapai 100 Mbps.

"Jadi, artinya konektivitas ini harus diikuti oleh kualitas yang lebih baik, khususnya dari sisi kecepatan dan juga inklusivitas," ujar Meutya dalam rangkaian pembukaan Bali Tech Week (BTW) 2026 di Bali, Selasa (20/10/2026).

Untuk mencapai target tersebut, pemerintah telah merancang berbagai langkah, di antaranya melalui pemanfaatan frekuensi 1,4 GHz, penggunaan teknologi baru fixed wireless access (FWA), serta pemanfaatan spektrum frekuensi 700 MHz dan 2,6 GHz.

Meutya mengungkapkan, peningkatan kecepatan internet harus diimbangi dengan pemerataan akses internet di seluruh Indonesia. Kementerian Komunikasi dan Digital (Kemkomdigi) pun berencana memanfaatkan infrastruktur listrik yang menjangkau pelosok wilayah sebagai infrastruktur telekomunikasi.

"Kita dalam perjanjian dengan ESDM, yaitu program listrik masuk desa ESDM, di mana tim saat ini sedang berbicara mengenai co-sharing," katanya.

Pemerataan Layanan

Pada kesempatan yang sama, Wakil Menteri Komunikasi dan Digital Angga Raka Prabowo menambahkan, untuk memeratakan akses internet, pemerintah menargetkan 90 persen kecamatan terhubung dengan jaringan serat optik, 50 persen rumah tangga terlayani fixed broadband, serta pemenuhan kewajiban cakupan 5G sekurang-kurangnya 51 persen populasi pada tahun kelima setelah izin frekuensi diberikan.

Angga Raka Prabowo menegaskan, pencapaian target tersebut membutuhkan sinergi antara pemerintah dan industri, termasuk melalui penataan biaya regulasi, penyeragaman perizinan dan retribusi, pengembangan model bisnis untuk wilayah tertinggal, terdepan, dan terluar (3T), serta penyusunan peta jalan spektrum frekuensi.

“Kementerian Komunikasi dan Digital siap memfasilitasi dan terbuka dalam deregulasi serta debottlenecking ini agar industri infrastruktur digital Indonesia tumbuh secara berkelanjutan, berdaya saing, dan berdaulat, dengan satu tujuan utama, yaitu memakmurkan rakyat Indonesia,” pungkasnya.
