Liputan6.com, Jakarta - Kasus dugaan malapraktik dalam tindakan katerisasi jantung terjadi di RSUD Abdoel Wahab Sjahranie Samarinda, Kalimantan Timur. Diduga kawat sepanjang dua sentimeter ditemukan tertinggal di pembuluh darah jantung pasien bernama Edyanto Wong (63) setelah menjalani tindakan medis di rumah sakit itu.

Keluarga pasien rutin cuci darah tersebut mendatangi RSUD untuk mempertanyakan kelanjutan tuntutan terkait kondisi orang tuanya. Kasus ini diduga menyeret seorang dokter spesialis jantung berinisial MF.

Tuntutan bermula dari tindakan katerisasi jantung termasuk pemasangan ring pada jantung di RSUD Abdoel Wahab Sjahranie Samarinda pada 19 Februari 2026. Namun kondisi pasien tidak kunjung membaik. Keluarga kemudian memutuskan membawa pasien ke Singapura untuk pengobatan atas saran dokter.

Usai menjalani tindakan katerisasi ulang karena kondisinya dalam keadaan darurat, keluarga kemudian mendapat informasi mengenai adanya benda asing berupa guidewire atau kawat yang putus dan tertinggal di jantung.

"Kepala RS Singapura menyatakan guidewire atau kawat yang putus tersebut yang tertinggal tersebut diakibatkan oleh tindakan sebelumnya yang dilakukan oleh dokter MF di RSUD AWS pada 19 Februari 2026," kata Kuasa hukum pasien Andi Akbar dikutip Liputan6 SCTV, Rabu (30/9/2026).

Guidewire atau kawat yang putus yang tertinggal tersebut juga dinyatakan tidak dapat diambil kembali dan permanen tertanam di dalam jantung.

Pihak keluarga menuntut pihak RSUD Abdoel Wahab Sjahranie Samarinda untuk bertanggung jawab.

"Kita harapkan hanya tanggung jawab dari pihak rumah sakit dan dokter untuk kami sebagai warga ini adalah itikad baiknya. Ada bukti tanggung jawabnya atas semua yang terjadi," kata anak pasien, Desi.

Sejauh ini belum ada keterangan dari pihak RSUD Abdoel Wahab Sjahranie Samarinda.
