Liputan6.com, JakartaNadia Purwoko akan melenggang ke ajang Miss Grand International 2018 pada awal Oktober mendatang. Sebagai Miss Grand Indonesia, Nadia Purwoko merupakan perwakilan resmi pertama Indonesia untuk ajang kecantikan tersebut.

Berbagai persiapan terus dilakukan Nadia Purwoko jelang masa karantinanya. Meski hanya melakukan persiapan selama dua bulan, Nadia Purwoko tetap optimis dan siap untuk berlaga di ajang Miss Grand International 2018.

Selama masa karantina hingga malam final, Nadia Purwoko akan menggunakan kurang lebih 40 busana hasil rancangan desainer lokal Indonesia. Untuk National Custome atau busana nasional, Nadia Purwoko akan mengenakan busana rancangan desainer asal Surabaya, Grace Liem.

Kostum ini merupakan rancangan Morpachio dan Maya Ratih. Memiliki makna yang sangat dalam mengambarkan Indonesia sebagai negara maritim.

Grace pun merancang busana yang terinspirasi dari pemandangan bawah laut Lombok. Menurut Ivan Gunawan apa yang terlihat di bawah laut Lombok diterjemahkan secara detail oleh Grace dalam rancangannya. Grace memilih menggunakan bahan yang dibuat sendiri dengan tekstur ringan namun tetap menghasilkan penampilan yang mewah.

Busana yang diberi nama Underwater Lombok-The Return memiliki makna dan filosofi yang cukup mendalam. Di mana busana ini tidak hanya bertujuan untuk misi pariwisata, namun juga misi kemanusiaan.

"Ini adalah salah bentuk dari yayasan untuk mengembalikan rasa kepercayaan wisatawan asing untuk datang ke Indonesia. Semenjak kejadian gempa, terjadi penurunan kunjungan wisatawan," ujar Ivan Gunawan.

Setelah ajang Miss Grand International 2018 berakhir, busana ini akan dilelang. Hasil pelelangan akan disumbangkan kepada masyarakat Lombok untuk proses pemulihan kehidupan sosial dan pariwisata di sana
