Liputan6.com, Jakarta - PT PLN Batam, Kepulauan Riau (Kepri), membantah kabar pemadaman listrik terencana selama tiga hari pada 12-14 Oktober 2026 yang beredar di media sosial. Perusahaan memastikan informasi mengenai pemadaman tersebut tidak benar atau hoaks.

Manager Komunikasi PLN Batam Yoga Perdana Sulastama mengatakan, informasi itu beredar melalui unggahan grafis dan pesan berantai pada Senin (12/10/2026) sore hingga malam.

Dalam unggahan tersebut, masyarakat menerima informasi mengenai pengumuman pemadaman listrik terencana selama tiga hari. Beredar pula pesan yang menyebutkan bahwa pasokan listrik hanya berasal dari PLTD Tanjungpinang dan masyarakat hanya akan menikmati aliran listrik selama enam jam.

“PT PLN Batam menegaskan bahwa seluruh informasi tersebut adalah tidak benar (hoaks),” katanya dikutip Antara, Selasa (13/10/2026).

Yoga menegaskan, PLN Batam tidak pernah mengeluarkan pengumuman pemadaman listrik terencana selama tiga hari berturut-turut. Perusahaan juga tidak pernah memberlakukan pembatasan waktu nyala listrik hanya enam jam seperti yang disebutkan dalam pesan berantai dan gambar yang beredar.

PLN Batam Klarifikasi Informasi Gangguan Internet

Selain kabar pemadaman listrik, beredar pula infografis yang mengaitkan gangguan layanan internet dengan kerusakan kabel bawah laut Singapura-Batam.

Yoga menegaskan, informasi mengenai gangguan layanan internet tersebut tidak berkaitan dengan gangguan maupun proses pemulihan sistem kelistrikan PLN Batam.

“Informasi yang beredar mengenai gangguan layanan internet akibat kerusakan kabel bawah laut Singapura-Batam tidak berkaitan dengan gangguan maupun proses pemulihan sistem kelistrikan PLN Batam,” kata dia.

PLN Batam mengimbau masyarakat dan pelanggan untuk memantau perkembangan informasi melalui kanal komunikasi resmi perusahaan. Langkah ini penting agar masyarakat memperoleh informasi yang akurat dan tidak mudah terpengaruh kabar yang belum terverifikasi.
