Liputan6.com, Jakarta - Dewan Penasihat Divisi HOM, Prof. Dr. dr. Arry Harryanto Reksodiputro, SpPD, K-HOM, FINASIM, mengungkapkan bahwa beban kerja dokter di Indonesia sangat berat karena jumlah pasien yang tinggi.

Kondisi ini membuat konsultasi medis sering kali berlangsung singkat. "Satu dokter bisa menangani 30 pasien dalam sehari. Bagaimana dia bisa lama menjelaskan? Dari pagi sampai jam empat sore, bahkan kadang sampai malam, mereka tetap harus melayani pasien," katanya dalam ROICAM 2025 pada Sabtu, 27 September 2025.

Menurutnya, banyaknya pasien juga dipengaruhi oleh sistem pelayanan kesehatan, termasuk karena adanya BPJS Kesehatan. "Pasiennya banyak karena pakai BPJS. Itu kenyataannya, jadi dokter nggak bisa lama-lama," tambahnya.

Arry menilai bahwa masyarakat perlu realistis terhadap kondisi tersebut. "Kalau kita nggak punya uang, ya kita memilih. Harus realistis. Kalau mau periksa lebih lama, bisa saja ke layanan lain, tapi tentu biayanya berbeda," ujarnya.

Keterbatasan Waktu Dokter

Arry menekankan bahwa dokter di Indonesia sering kali bekerja sejak pagi hingga malam, bahkan harus melanjutkan praktik sore agar bisa mencukupi kebutuhan hidup. Kondisi ini membuat durasi konsultasi dengan pasien menjadi terbatas.

"Kadang ada dokter yang pasiennya sampai 70 orang sehari. Bagaimana bisa memberikan penjelasan panjang? Sering kali hanya sempat menyapa singkat," katanya.

Dia menjelaskan bahwa hal ini bukan berarti dokter tidak peduli, melainkan karena jumlah pasien yang tidak sebanding dengan tenaga medis yang tersedia.

Dampak Sistem BPJS

Menurut Arry, membludaknya pasien juga tidak lepas dari sistem BPJS Kesehatan yang membuat layanan kesehatan lebih terjangkau. Namun, konsekuensinya adalah dokter harus melayani pasien dalam jumlah besar.

"Pasiennya banyak karena BPJS, jadi dokter nggak bisa lama-lama. Itu kenyataan," ujarnya.

Meski demikian, Arry menilai program BPJS tetap penting karena membantu masyarakat kecil mengakses layanan medis. Tantangannya adalah bagaimana menjaga kualitas pelayanan di tengah beban pasien yang tinggi.

Arry juga menyinggung perbandingan dengan dokter di luar negeri. Menurutnya, kualitas dokter Indonesia tidak kalah dengan negara lain, termasuk Singapura.

"Dokter kita juga banyak yang teliti dan hasilnya bagus. Bahkan banyak teman dokter di Singapura yang kerja caranya sama dengan kita," ujarnya.

Dia menilai anggapan bahwa layanan dokter luar negeri lebih baik tidak sepenuhnya benar, karena situasi tiap negara berbeda. Bagi masyarakat, yang terpenting adalah bersikap objektif dan realistis dalam menilai pelayanan kesehatan.
